Are you an experienced, Administrative Professional with a passion for Reconciliation, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion? Are you looking for an opportunity that allows you to showcase your engaging interpersonal skills, supreme organization skills and your ability to support a team in a variety of administrative and finance related duties? Our client is looking for you!

The chosen candidate will be supporting a team focused on developing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies within their organization.  The position will run 3-5 months and will be a fantastic opportunity for those looking to further their career in a relevant field.

The compensation is $30-$37 per hour dependent on the candidates skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support: coordinate meetings, prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, drafting reports
  • Maintenance of filing systems, supplies within the office, mailings and courier preparation
  • Assist with reconciliation of invoices, preparing cheque requisitions, processing payments
  • Typing, data entry, email correspondence, photocopying, faxing
  • Provide telephone and in-person reception
  • Assist with projects and initiatives as they arise

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Familiar with and support concepts of diversity, equity and inclusion, MMIWG, TRC Calls to action
  • Passionate about supporting a team working towards developing framework around eliminating systemic racism
  • Ability to remain focused and take initiative with independent work
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and support collaborative initiatives
  • Ability to collect data, gather pertinent facts and details and communicate findings
  • Effective communication skills in English written and verbal via phone and in person
  • Able to shift focus when the need arises and able to manage competing deadlines and priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Grade 12 educations and minimum 2 years experience with duties noted above
