Position Description:
Our client, a payroll service provider, is looking for a Payroll Specialist with French Bilingual skills to join their team as soon as possible!
Duties / Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
•Provide phone and email support for all payroll clients in a professional and timely manner. This includes providing support of the product, Records of Employment, year end and Canadian payroll legislation.
•Problem analysis and resolution with limited assistance from a manager.
•Document and maintain the support log database.
•Prepare, coordinate and distribute product change and general client notifications as approved by management.
•Functional cross-training with the new client setup department. This includes administering and completing the setup process for new clients. It also includes providing over the phone training of the software product.
•Ensures that policies and procedures are properly administered.
•Work with other departments to enhance departmental and overall company performance.

•Strong knowledge of Canadian Payroll Legislation and practices.
•Strong knowledge of all provincial payroll requirements.
•A strong understanding of payroll year end procedures.
•Ability to multi-task, reconcile, analyze and solve problems.
•Strong communication skills both written and verbal, both internally and externally.
•Strong knowledge of Records of Employment processing and requirements.
•Proficient with MS Office products including Excel and Word.
•Detail oriented and self-motivated with a commitment to working in a team environment.
•Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment.
•Experience with the IBM iseries operating system
•Ability to work on varying shifts to support all Canadian provinces during business hours.
•Bilingual (French and English) communication skills required.
Experience:
•3+ years experience working in a payroll environment.
•Experience working in a payroll service bureau environment (preferred but not required).
•Experience with payroll software
Education:
•Community College Diploma in a relevant discipline.
•Minimum CPA level 1 certification is mandatory.
•Working towards a PCP certification (certification preferred).
